Data deletion
Delete local projects or submitted sourcing-request data.
Local and server data are controlled separately.
Delete local extension data
- Open the China Sourcing Team project editor.
- Use “Delete local project” for an individual draft, or “Clear all local data” for every project.
- Confirm the action.
A submitted project must be deleted from the server before its individual local receipt can be removed. Clearing all local data removes projects, items, settings, receipts and deletion tokens from Chrome extension storage, but does not automatically delete requests already submitted to the server.
Delete a submitted extension request
- Open the submitted project in the extension.
- Select “Delete server request”.
- The extension sends the opaque deletion token stored with that receipt.
Delete a website-form request
- Return to the sourcing request page in the browser used to submit the form.
- Find the latest website receipt below the form.
- Select “Delete server request” and confirm.
The website stores only the latest receipt and deletion token locally. The server deletion removes all product items and anonymizes the contact email, project name and internal notes. A minimal event remains to document that deletion occurred.
Deletion without the original browser
Email [email protected] from the submitted contact address. Include the request number and state that you want the sourcing request deleted. Do not email passwords, cookies or marketplace account information.
Scope
Deletion covers sourcing-request product content and contact information. Security logs that contain only non-content event records may be retained where necessary to prevent abuse and document deletion.
