Extension privacy

Privacy notice for the Chrome product sourcing helper.

Effective July 16, 2026.

Data the extension handles

After you deliberately click the extension on a page, it may read the current page URL, visible product title, a main-image URL, marketplace name and a product reference contained in that URL. It also handles the specifications, quantity, target price, notes, project name and contact email that you enter.

Data the extension does not collect

  • Passwords or authentication fields
  • Browser cookies
  • Chat messages
  • Browsing history or other tabs
  • Unrelated page forms or page HTML
  • Background product listings

Local storage

Draft projects, confirmed items, settings, submission receipts and deletion tokens are stored in Chrome extension local storage. They remain on the device until you delete a project, clear local data, or remove the extension.

Server transmission

A project is sent to ChinaSourcingTeam.com only when you press Submit. The server stores the confirmed project fields and security records needed to prevent abuse. The service does not sell personal information and does not use extension data for advertising.

Retention and deletion

Use “Delete server request” in the project receipt to remove item content and contact data. Use “Clear all local data” to remove local drafts and receipts. If the deletion token is unavailable, contact [email protected] with the request number and proof that you control the submitted email address.

Security

Executable extension code is packaged locally. No remote JavaScript is loaded. Data is transmitted to the official HTTPS API only.
